Review: Faded Flower by Paul McCusker

This is a great weekend read. The book honestly looks at how a family deals with the loss of a job, finding out a parent has Alzheimer's and life decisions.

Review: Adrenaline by Jeff Abbott

This book is action packed and will keep you turning pages. I love the Sam Capra character. I found myself more than once wondering how he was going to get of a situation. The next one can not be released soon enough for me. While I'm waiting for that next one I'll be reading his other books.

Review: The Informationist by Taylor Stevens

The first novel for Stevens is a hit in my book. I like the character although not quite as action packed or suspenseful as I was expecting, it is well written and the "rescue" was well... let's just say different. I've checked the author website and the next book by Taylor Stevens is in the works.

Audio books

I have a hard time listening to audio books because I can't "listen" to the reader, my mind wonders and then I have to back track and find out what I missed. There are 3 audio books I would like to recommend others to read for a couple of reasons: 1. I really really liked these 3 stories and 2. If I completed the book on audio it must have been read well. The first book I ever listened to was 52 pick up by Elmore Leonard read by Ed Asner, the next book I will suggest (audio or book) Obsessed by Ted Dekker read by Rob Lamont and the audio I'm finishing now that inspired this entry - Sweeney Todd and the String of Pearls by Yuri Rasovsky read by The Hollywood Theater of the Ear. The description calls it an audio melodrama...it is hard to describe but the characters come alive and the voices of the characters are great. Listen to any of these and you will not be disappointed.

Review: Bloodline by Mark Billingham

The new novel featuring DI Tom Thorne is a fast paced serial killer investigation. Will Thorne be able to find the killer before the list of victims has no more names? Just as you think you have everything figured out you'll discover you were wrong. With each new book Billingham proves why he is one of the top British writers. You won't be able to read just one.

Review: I don't want to kill you by Dan Wells

Easily the best John Cleaver story yet. Exciting and creepy. It will keep you turning pages to find out how it ends. Although the end of the trilogy I've heard Mr. Wells has other books in the works and we will be seeing more works from him in 2012. I highly recommend this series....Mr. Monster, I am not a serial killer and I don't want to kill you by Dan Wells.

The Beginning

I don't have much to say but if I'm going to be following some blogs I might as well enter something in my blog for others to read. Not sure how often I'll be updating and it will probably be mostly about books but you never know when I'll think of something interesting to say.
